Mannford Church of Christ DeaconsThe Mannford church of Christ is very interested and involved in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is our Lord and Savior, and we serve him in the ways He has directed us through his word, the Holy Scriptures. Our goals at Mannford are consistent with the Lord’s desire for us to teach Jesus to a lost world, to offer sacrificial service, to be of service to all mankind and to be steadfast within the paths of sound doctrine. If you have any question about our worship services, congregational works or our beliefs, please do not hesitate to ask any one of the elders, deacons, preachers or members. Worship Ministry: Jeff SpessIn this ministry, men are assigned to lead singing, lead prayers, prepare and serve communion. Jeff also administers our adult devotional, which meets Sunday evenings once a month in a member’s home. A meal is enjoyed, followed by a bible study. Greeter's assignments and operation of the sound and video equipment also fall within this ministry. Education and Outreach: Elders, Tony Keesee and Jeff SpessThe education ministry strives to encourage everyone to be a student of God’s word. Remember these wise words. “There is no substitute for the children of God, studying the word of God, for themselves.” We want to encourage you to be a student for life! This ministry strives to teach you to:
Family Care: John DennisThe responsibility for preparing the building for funerals, fellowship meals and activities, and other uses of the building, falls under this ministry. Everything from overseeing preparation of meals, decorating, and clean-up are included. If someone needs a ride to the doctor or hospital for care, or any other special need, John is the deacon to call. Missions and Benevolence: Jeff PoeAlmost daily we receive pleas from someone needing assistance in some way. While we cannot answer every plea, we do try to read every letter with consideration. Each year we include support for a number of missions, as well as emergency needs in our budget. Buildings and Grounds: Kevin NelsonWe are indeed blessed to have fine facilities to worship and serve God in. Being faithful stewards includes taking care of these. This is a very labor-intensive responsibility and requires not only responsible oversight but a lot of volunteer help. Budget and Finance: Mike NishimutaBudget and Finances' responsibilities include bookkeeping and budgeting, the paying of bills, tax forms, monthly and yearly reports. “Therefore take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.” Acts 20:28 Contact any deacon: deacons@mannfordchurchofchrist.com |
