Lunch and a Bible Study and
Wednesday Evening Summer Series
This summer your friends at the Mannford church of Christ would like to invite you to hear God’s Word. On Wednesdays beginning June 10th through July 29th, a series of guest speakers will present lessons at “Lunch and a Bible Study,” and Wednesday evenings a different message from God’s Word will be presented at the church of Christ building.
“Lunch and a Bible Study” at the Mannford Activity Center begins at 12:00 with a complimentary lunch and a Bible Study from 12:20 -12:50. The topic is GREAT MEN OF THE BIBLE and each Wednesday we will study a different man.
The Wednesday Evening Summer Series begins at 7:00pm at the Mannford church of Christ building.
Denny Petrillo is a graduate of the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver (formerly known as the School of Biblical Studies, in Denver Colorado). He earned an A.A. degree in Bible from York College (York, Nebraska) and B.A. degree in Bible with a minor in Biblical languages from Harding University in 1977. He earned his M.A. degree in Old Testament and New Testament from the Harding Graduate School of Religion in 1981. In 1989, he completed his Ph.D. in Religious Education from the University of Nebraska. Petrillo is presently the President of the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado. In addition, he teaches a number of courses in both the Old and New Testaments. He is also the author of a commentary on Ezekiel, 1 & 2 Timothy and Titis and a study guide on the Minor Prophets. Petrillo has preached full time in Mississippi, and has taught at Magnolia Bible College (Kosciusko, MS), and York College (York, NE). He has been with Bear Valley since 1985. He has also completed for the World Video Bible School (Maxwell, Texas) extensive video classes on the Hebrew language, the Minor Prophets, the Wisdom Literature books, Ezekiel, Matthew and the Gospel of John. He has conducted over 300 gospel meeting and seminars in the United States and in several foreign countries including Germany, Spain, Panama, Argentina, Africa, and the Ukraine. Denny and his wife Kathy have three children, Lance, Brett, and Laura.
Phil Sanders is a minister and associate speaker for “In Search of the Lord’s Way,” a nationally broadcasted television ministry of the Edmond Church of Christ.. He formerly was minister of Concord Rd. Church of Christ in Brentwood, Tenn. for 13 years. He has served as Assistant Director and Instructor at the Nashville School of Preaching and Biblical Studies since 1998. He was an Instructor at Amridge University (formerly Southern Christian University) and the Theological University of America.
Phil is the author of several books and frequent speaker at lectureships, gospel meetings and seminars. He has published articles in Gospel Advocate and the Spiritual Sword. He is a Columnist for Think magazine. His writings include, Adrift: Postmodernism in the Church, Gospel Advocate,2000. Let All The Earth Keep Silent, Star, 2006. Evangelism Handbook of New Testament Christianity, 2008. Several books can be read on line from Nashville School of Preaching.
He married to Jackie Dodgen in 1974 and they are the parents of four daughters: Christa, Chara, Tara, and Laura. They have four grandchildren.
Phil graduated from Oklahoma Christian College in 1974 with a BA in Bible and Biblical Languages. He holds a M.A.R. in Christian Doctrine from Harding Graduate School of Religion, and a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Theological University of America.
Wayne McReynolds is the Associate Minister/Office Administrator for the Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland, Texas. Wayne is an educator. He holds a B.A. in English and Secondary Education, a M.Ed. in Public School Administration, and a Doctor of Religious Education degree. He has also done post- graduate work in Adult/Community Education and School Administration. He oversees the daily operations, publications, and adult education program for the 2,400 member Saturn Road congregation.
Wayne’s career covers three different areas which have complemented each other well. For twelve years in public and Christian education he served as a teacher, coach, middle school principal, high school vice-principal, high school principal and superintendent/president. While President of Ft. Worth Christian School from 1992-1994, he completed his Texas Superintendent internship with the central office of the Dallas ISD. From 1980 to 1992 Wayne worked for Halliburton Services (Duncan, Ok) and Halliburton Reservoir Services (Carrollton, TX) .
Wayne has been in full-time ministry since 1994. Even while working in education and industry, he continually served as a part-time youth minister, director of education, and/or worship leader. From 1994 to 2002 he was the Education/Involvement Minister at the Walnut Hill Church of Christ in Dallas. In 2002 he moved to the Saturn Road church in Garland. He has been the director of the North Texas Equipping the Saints Workshop since 1993. This practical, one day workshop each September usually serves 500-600 Bible teachers, church leaders, preschool workers and other volunteers.
Wayne and his wife, Pamila, have two grown sons (one married) and three grand-daughters. He and Pamila haave been dual-licensed foster/adoptive parents with Child Protective Services for sixteen years and have fostered sixty two children, some for two days and some for almost two years. Next to being a Christian husband with a Christian family, he believes making a difference in the lives of those children is his greatest accomplishment.
